1. Traditional badminton posts can be used for outdoor badminton. The posts should be placed on the extension lines perpendicular to the sidelines at the midpoint of the doubles sidelines, not exceeding 1 meter from the midpoint. For matches on hard and grass courts, the net height at the center of the court from the ground is 1.52 meters, and at the midpoint of the sidelines, it is 1.55 meters. For sandy courts, due to the certain deformation range of the ground, the net height at the center of the court from the ground is 1.45 meters, and at the midpoint of the sidelines, it is 1.5 meters.
2. The badminton net should be made of high-quality dark-colored thin ropes, with uniformly distributed square holes measuring 1.5 to 2 centimeters on each side. The net should be 80 to 100 centimeters wide at the top and bottom, with a total length of at least 6 meters. The upper and lower edges of the net should be folded into a double layer with a 5-centimeter wide white cloth strip, and ropes or wires should be threaded through the middle. The ropes or wires should be tightly stretched and level with the top of the net posts. There should be no gaps between the ends of the net and the net posts; if there are gaps, the ends of the net should be securely tied to the net posts.
