BWF World Rankings Update: Women’s Singles ‘F4’ Hold Top Spots, Men’s Singles Sees Shifts

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) will officially release the latest world rankings tomorrow, but Indonesian media has already revealed the results. In women’s singles, the top four positions remain firmly held by the ‘F4’: South Korea’s An Se-young, Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi, China’s Chen Yufei, and Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-ying.
The top 10 in women’s singles sees little significant change. However, Indian star P.V. Sindhu has dropped one place to world number 11, while American player of Chinese descent, Zhang Beiwen, has risen two spots to claim the world number 10 position.

In men’s singles, Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen continues to reign at the top. He is followed closely by Indonesia’s top player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. China’s Li Shifeng, who recently won the silver medal at the French Open, has climbed two places to become world number 3. Meanwhile, Indonesian star Jonatan Christie, champion of the French Open, also rose two spots to world number 4.
