Christine Kajumba Magnusson, born on November 21, 1964, is a retired Swedish female badminton player. She was born in Toro Kingdom, Uganda. After marriage, she changed her name to Christine Gandrup.
From 1970 to 1990, Christine Magnusson won seven Swedish national women’s singles championships. She won a bronze medal at the 1989 IBF World Championships and a silver medal in women’s doubles with Maria Bengtsson at the 1991 IBF World Championships. She also represented Sweden in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She won the 1992 and 1994 European Badminton Championships with Lin Xiaoqing, as well as the 1993 Badminton World Cup women’s doubles championship.
In public competitions, Christine Magnusson won the women’s singles and women’s doubles (partnered with Maria Bengtsson) championships at the 1981 Soviet Badminton International. She won the women’s singles championships at the Scottish Badminton Open in 1985, 1986, and 1988. In 1987, she won the women’s singles championship at the Belgian Badminton International and the women’s doubles championship at the Dutch Badminton Open (with Maria Bengtsson).
She and Maria Bengtsson then won the women’s doubles championships at the 1988 Belgian Badminton International, Chinese Taipei Badminton Open, and 1990 Finnish Badminton International. In 1991, she won the women’s singles and women’s doubles championships (with Maria Bengtsson) at the Chinese Taipei Open.
In 1991 and 1992, she and Lin Xiaoqing won the women’s doubles championships at the Scottish Badminton Open and German Badminton Open. The two also won the women’s doubles championships at the 1992 US Badminton Open, the 1992 and 1994 Danish Badminton Open, as well as the 1993 Malaysian Badminton Open and Chinese Taipei Badminton Open. In 1996, she won the women’s doubles championship at the Polish Badminton Open with Marina Atrievskaya.
